Lifemax Light Pod 107a SAD Light Box Review

Lifemax Light Pod 107a SAD Light Box
Lifemax Light Pod 107a SAD Light Box is a portable SAD lamp that does a great job in treating the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) by simulating natural daylight.

The Lifemax SAD lamp has two levels of brightness and utilizes blue light spectrum tubes. It is efficient in bringing the daylight into your home, even without the sun, to combat winter blues whilst working or relaxing.

Unlike other SAD light boxes, Lifemax Light Pod is cheap, compact and doesn’t flicker due to inadequate light. With its stable and flicker-free soft light, it doesn’t cause black spots on the eyes so it’s a lot better than light boxes that use LED lights. It emits 14,000 lux light within a 2.5-cm range or 5,500 lux within a 7.5-cm range during full power.

Common Problems Treatable by SAD Light Box

  • Low moods
  • Fatigue caused by irregular work shifts
  • Menstrual and menopause discomfort
  • Winter SAD
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Irritability
  • Excessive tiredness and fatigue
  • Jet lag

Lifemax Light Pod 107a SAD Light Box Reviews

The reviews we found for Lifemax Light Pod SAD Light Box were mostly positive. The SAD lamp is very useful and you can have it next to your computer at work. Putting it on in the morning will help you get going and during winter months, this could help you stop feeling so dizzy.

It seems a fair priced option and it does just what it says on the packet. It is portable and not too obtrusive. For its size, this light pod puts out a really good light. Each side can be used separately, or they can be used together.

This is designed really for a quick top-up of light, perhaps in the morning before work, or while you work at your computer, rather than having professional SAD light therapy. It’s designed to stand on desks or shelves, or alternatively it can be hand-held and comes with an adjustable mode to allow you to only use one side of the unit at a time, or with a different frequency.

The only downside is the SAD lamp is a little bit lightweight so you have to be careful where you put it. The unit’s low cost is evident in its design and construction as this is budget stuff. Its size also reflects its cheapness.

The Lifemax Light Pod 107a has proven to be a good SAD light therapy box. You can find it on Amazon here.
